1980 FIREPOWER by Williams |

I had not really played Firepower until I got my own. Now it will never leave my collection. I have been able to introduce many others to the pleasure of playing the first electronic multiball game. And now they all want one of there own! |

I got this machine from Duncan Brown. The only trick was that I had to go to Chicago to get it. That's a fer piece from Virginia I soon found out. I went up for the Pinball Expo in October of '99. What a terrible event that was!! |

As you can see, I have converted the original standup targets to drops. It was not hard to do - just time consuming. I used system 7 drop targets though. No real problems, but every once in a while a target will not read down during multiball. The paint is in good shape - really only one spot in front of the right slingshot that needs touchup. |

I don't know if you can tell or not, but the backglass is one of the first generation rescreened glasses. The reds are a little on the pink side. Is is not worth quite as much as an original, I don't really care that much because the glass is otherwise perfect! If you look closely you can see another Firepower playfield under the machine. I got that one from Lloyd at the Coinopwarehouse. It looks as if it was mylared fom day one. I am waiting for another machine with a trashed PF so that I can swap this one in and have a really nice game. |

Playing pinball in a room with no other light than that of the games themselves is the best way to play the Pinball!!! |
